The number of treatments required varies depending on the individual’s skin condition and desired results.
Most people claim they don’t mind the plasma and that the numbing cream does its job because they don’t really feel anything during therapy. However, this relies on the client’s level of sensitivity and pain threshold. We want the client to be as comfortable as possible, therefore if someone felt uneasy during the treatment, we provide frequent tea/coffee and cookie breaks in addition to a second numbing cream.
The stages the skin goes through after receiving treatment are the healing process. Depending on the area being treated, you can notice swelling, heat under the skin, redness, and a little discomfort after your first Plasma Pen treatment. However, these will go away in a few days. The worst part of the first 7–10 days is waiting for the carbon crusts to mend and come off on their own after the treatment. These crusts leave a faint red undertone beneath the skin after they have naturally fallen off, although it is scarcely perceptible. This often only lasts a week, although on rare cases it might last up to two weeks. After that, it’s just a matter of waiting for 12 hours to see results improve gradually.
