Meet the Founder – Specialist in Custom Dentures & Advanced Prosthetics
At Seabreeze Dentistry & Denture Clinic, our vision is simple: to provide every patient in our community with access to exceptional, personalised dental care under one roof.
As a highly specialised female dental professional with over 20 years of experience, I have dedicated my career to the design and creation of custom-made dentures, implant-supported prostheses, and advanced dental restorations for patients across Melbourne and New Zealand.
My professional journey has included extensive work across both the public and private health sectors, as well as serving as an educator and demonstrator in dental prosthetics for leading institutions including The University of Melbourne, RMIT University, and private educational sectors throughout New Zealand. I have also contributed to research and academic development as a Research Fellow and have proudly collaborated with Monash Health Dental Services to develop professional educational resources and training videos.
As one of the proud founders of Seabreeze Dentistry & Denture Clinic, I created this practice with a unique purpose: to ensure that every patient can access high-quality, comprehensive dental care in one trusted location — from general check-ups and fillings to crowns, children’s dentistry, and handcrafted custom dentures produced in our in-house dental laboratory.

Dr. Katie is a dental professional with a genuine passion for creating natural, beautiful smiles. With over two decades of experience, she has truly refined the art of crafting smiles that are both authentic and stunning. Dr. Katie began her dental journey at the prestigious University of Otago in New Zealand, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Dental Technology. She then deepened her expertise in Clinical Dental Technology through postgraduate studies. From the very start, Dr. Katie’s focus has been on seamlessly blending the artistic and scientific aspects of prosthetics. Her ultimate goal has always been to give individuals smiles that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also uniquely their own.
Having worked in Europe, New Zealand, and Australia, Dr. Katie has seen it all and worked with a diverse range of patients. No matter where she is, her goal is always the same: to give each patient a prosthetic solution that looks as natural as possible. She’s got the perfect balance of technical know-how and an artist’s touch, allowing her to craft smiles that are totally unique and tailored to each person.
Dr. Katie’s expertise goes beyond patient care; she is also deeply enthusiastic about passing on her knowledge. She had an opportunity to teach dental students in Melbourne, guiding them on how to create prosthetics that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also comfortable to wear. Passing on her love for dental prosthetics is something she truly loves, and she’s super proud of the future dental professionals she’s helped shape along the way.
Dr. Katie’s philosophy is straightforward yet impactful: ensuring the happiness and satisfaction of her patients is paramount to her. Whether she is crafting a customised dental prosthetic or enhancing someone’s confidence with a smile transformation, she consistently goes the extra mile to ensure that every individual departs from her practice feeling self-assured and relaxed.
In addition to her amazing work with dental prosthetics, Dr. Katie also offers a unique treatment for those noticing signs of aging around the mouth. Many of her patients who have worn dentures for years experience fine lines or sagging skin around their lips and face. To address this, she introduced the Plasma Fibroblast treatment. It is a non-surgical way to smooth out fine lines and tighten skin around the mouth and face. It helps her patients look and feel younger, without affecting the fit or function of their dentures.
When Dr. Katie is not transforming smiles, she is all about family. Dr Katie loves spending time with her husband and two beautiful children. Whether they’re swimming, taking long walks, or just having fun outdoors, family time is a big part of what keeps her balanced and inspired.
